The 18th national team of the Korea Youth Baseball Federation recorded 3 wins and 3 losses in the first day of the "2024 Korea-Taiwan International Exchange" held on the 14th. The junior national team, the youth B team, and the youth C team won, and the youth A team, the youth D team, and the dream tree E team were defeated unfortunately.

Led by Kim Deok-hwan (Gurogu Youth Baseball Team) and Kang Eon-ho (Haman Baseball Club), the junior national team won 10-8 against Taiwan's Min Deok-joong. Shortstop Kim Se-hoon flew high with three hits, and Jeong Tae-won contributed to the team's victory with multiple hits.

Coach Kang Eon-ho said after the game, "I thought I would win easily as I went ahead early in the game, but Min Deok-joong did not give up and followed me to the end, making it a difficult game," adding, "The players were able to win because they did not lose their concentration at the end of the game."

The youth A team, led by Hwang Min-ho (Asan City Youth Baseball Team) and Manak-gil (No Won-gu Youth Baseball Team), was defeated 2-3 unfortunately. The youth A team, which had been dragged by giving up three runs from the beginning of the game, followed up to a one-point gap at the end of the game, but was defeated unfortunately by failing to create additional points with one out and a full base chance.

"The players were nervous in the beginning, so they made mistakes and the flow was over early," Manak-gil said. "Nevertheless, our players didn't give up until the end and chased after one point. I highly value that part. I hope they do their best as they still have more games to play."

Led by manager Kim Jong-jin (Dobonggu Youth Baseball Team) and manager Nam Seong-ho (Anyang City Youth Baseball Team), Team B won a landslide 16 to 1. Team B had a fierce battle in the early part of the game, and after overcoming the crisis, scored a large number of points to secure victory.

Kim Jong-jin and Nam Sung-ho prepared for the next game through additional training even after the game was over. "I will continue to bring tension to the players," Kim said, while Nam said, "I hope that the players will further enhance their performance through additional training."

The Youth C Team led by Yoon Jang-sul (Yeon Se-yu Youth Baseball Team) and Cho Il-hyun (Wanshan Youth Baseball Team) also won the game 15-0. The Youth C Team did not allow a single point based on strong pitching staff, and even the batters exploded and managed to score 15 points.

The youth D team, led by Kim Min-beom (Bandavis Youth Baseball) and Shin Chang-ho (Boryeong Youth Baseball Team), lost 3-9. The Dream Tree E team, led by Park Min-chul (Guri City Youth Baseball Team) and Yoon Kyu-jin (Songpa-gu Youth Baseball Team), lost 1-16.

Lee Sang-geun, chairman of the Korea Youth Baseball Federation, said, "Even though the players were very nervous on the first day, we finished the game well without any injuries. I am grateful," and emphasized, "I hope it will be an opportunity for players to feel, experience, and grow through the Taiwan international exchange match rather than the results."
